The treatment targets three gut hormones – glucagon-like peptide-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and pancreatic hormone. Early trials indicate it could help patients reduce up to a quarter of their body weight. Nicknamed the “triple G”, the substance is being promoted online as the next Ozempic.
